Companies special licenses (CSL)

The Seychelles companies special licences are similar to companies incorporated under the international business licenses, but since the act took place later that IBC act, its more complicated and offers greater advantages for companies incorporated under it. CSL take advantage over double tax treaties that are not available to the IBC companies.

Taxation

Altho CLS companies can't escape tax completely the tax for them is one of the lowest you can find - 1.5%. However they are exempt from the following taxes: dividends, interest and royalties, stamp duties on any property or share transfers and transactions.

Incorporation

The incorporation of a CSL in Seychelles takes a bit longer and is a bit more document heavy than in other offshore jurisdictions, and it usually takes around 2 weeks. The minimum number of directors are 2, they may have any residency and can reside anywhere in the world. The company board meetings may take place anywhere in the world. Only a local secretary must be kept.

Company upkeep

The yearly fee of maintaining a company under the CSL license is a bit larger that in some other locations. You have to pay a yearly license fee of 1000 USD, and an annual return filing fee of 200 USD. A yearly preparation of accounts and audit requirements must be prepared.

Altho IBC are still available and may still be a great choice for some forms of business, although CSL offers a far greater advantages over IBC for conducting business from Seychelles.
