Business process outsourcing in China

Millions of college and university students graduate in China every year and it has become a way more desirable to get a job in the BPO sector rather than the manufacturing sector of China, which takes up a large part of their economy. May fields of studies have emerged regarding the IT and BPO sectors in China in the past years. More that 20 cities are already regarded as "China BPO cities", meaning that most of the business conducted within the city is for foreigner companies, citizens etc.

Education

Since the introduction of English language in the Chinese education system, requiring students from 6th to 12th grade to learn english, most of the youth now can write and speak fluently, offering quality services for english speaking nations.

The help from government

The government has played a huge part in the large count of emerging  "China's BPO cities". Having active laws in place that introduce the discount on income and employees taxes for BPO related companies, no duty on income from offshore services income, allowing for special working hours, infrastructure funds and  ISP and telecommunications priority in these cities. Making chinese companies BPO very cost competitive compared to BPO companies from other countries.
