Australia


Commonwealth of Australia is the a country that takes up a whole continent - the Australian continent and some smaller islands around it. For a while the country used to be a colony of the United Kingdom, now its a part of the commonwealth of Nations - a commonwealth realm. Having Queen Elizabeth II  as the leading constitutional monarch. Australia has one of the most diverse environments and wildlife, for this Australia is recognized as a “Megadiverse country”.


 Economy

 Australia is one of the world's wealthiest countries and has one of the lowest poverty rates in the world. A large part (a bit less than 70%) of the Australian economy is based on the service sector, 19 percent of the economy is composed on the mining and further refinement and export of the mined goods. The remaining 10-15 percent include such sectors as manufacturing, agriculture, tourism and some other small sectors.


 Incorporation

 There are multiple types of companies available for incorporation, such as Limited by shares and unlimited by shares, more types of companies are available for registration, but these types are not usually used for offshore purposes and so will not be described here. The usual time for a new company incorporation within Australia is one day. The law by which the company are registered is Corporations Act of 2001. A company must have at least one local director and one shareholder, the board meetings may take place anywhere in the world and so can the shareholder meetings. A secretary is not necessary, but if one is appointed, the secretary must be local.

 Company name

The name of the company may be in any language as long as the name is on par with the rules listed below:
The name of the company may not be similar to a name of a business or a company that has already been registered
The name of the company may not be offensive or undesirable, as stated by the Crown, State and Federal governments and/or any parts of them.

 Company upkeep

Accounts must be prepared for all companies, audits must be filed for large companies and for companies that are involved in specific types of business. There is no requirement to file annual review of the company.

 Language

Australia has English as the most used and spoken language, but the country it self does not have an  official language.
